Benton County Republican Liberty Caucus

Individual Liberty, Limited Government, Free Enterprise

Filing week begins just 6 short weeks from now!  Filing week runs from Monday, May 12th through end of business on Friday, May 16th.  Are you considering running for office, but just aren’t sure?  Consider running for Precinct Committee Office (or PCO).  It’s a great experience!  Wanna know the best part?  There is NO filing fee!  There are a great many precincts in Benton County that are not represented by a PCO.  Could it be you?

The BCRP central committee meets every other month.  For example, the last meeting was February 6th.  The next meeting is April 3rd.  It’s a great way to stay connected with the folks in your neighborhood and is also a wonderful way to help the Republican Party and the candidates for other offices, too.  By keeping your finger on the political pulse of your precinct, you can have a positive impact on politics in Benton County and Washington State!

Start small.  Get your feet wet.  Run for PCO!!  If you need help, let us know! Email us here at

March Meeting Notice

Please note: Our March meeting is being held at the Richland Public Library
The Republican Liberty Caucus of Benton County (RLC) invites you to come hear our guest speaker, Benton County Treasurer, Duane Davidson, at our monthly meeting on March 31 at 7 p.m. We are inviting elected officials in Benton County to address our RLC members, and citizens of the Tri-Cities, so we can be better informed about current office-holders who are up for re-election and their accomplishments.

We have asked County Treasurer Davidson to address the following topics:

His background and qualifications for this office
The primary functions of his office and his major responsibilities
The staff of his office – number, titles, salary range, and major responsibilities
Budget for 2013 compared to budgets for 2012, 2011, and 2010
Major accomplishments over past 3 years
Unresolved problems encountered over past 3 years
Strategic plan for solving problems and future initiatives
Any other information useful for promoting informed voters

Bring a friend, and your questions for County Treasurer Duane Davidson!

When: Monday, March 31st
Time: 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Where: Richland Public Library, Gallery Room

Precinct Politicis: Canvassing for Republican Activists and PCOs – July 13th

Date:  Saturday, July 13th
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Location:  Kennewick Library, 1620 Union Street

Do you know what you’re selling when you knock on the door? How do you gather voter information without scaring away the voter? Should you ignore the Democrats in your precinct?

In this training, you’ll learn the history and structure of the Republican Party, the roles of the activist and the PCO, and how to approach your neighbors, work with volunteers, and put all this work to your advantage in the party.

Dani Bolyard is a former PCO, county chairman, state committeewoman, and state executive board member. Currently, she is the Canvassing Chair in the Grant County Republican Party, the chair of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Grant County, the Communications and Media Chair for the Republican Liberty Caucus of Washington State, and works with the Grassroots Committee of the Washington State Republican Party. She has been a teacher and leader in various organizations for 26 years, and is passionate about elections and grassroots conservative activism.

To minimize the cost to attendees, we will provide sandwiches/chips/bottled water for lunch.

While the class is free, we will be asking for donations to offset the cost of the lunch and Dani’s expenses.

We’re inviting all of our liberty-minded Republican friends and neighbors from Benton, Franklin, Walla Walla and Yakima counties, too!

Please RSVP: or call (509) 832-0239 and leave a message with Mary Ruth

It’s coming….

We’ll be bringing “Precinct Politics: Canvassing for Republican Activists and PCOs” to Benton County in July. Stay tuned for more info!
